There were 7 other people present during this session, but not participating.
They are: David (Mylo), Drew (Matthew), Lisa (Behal), Jo (Tyl), Paul
(Caroll), Vicki (Lawrence), and Ron (Olivia).
Vic’s note: On July 1, 1998, Tom (James) shot himself
in the head. He died the next morning. Needless to say, this
was quite a shock to those of us who knew Tom, both inside and outside
of these sessions.
This session was requested by Gail, who was present when
the event occurred. The other people “sitting in” on this session
were there to offer energy and support.
Tom attended his first session on August 2, 1995, and
continued to attend sessions on and off until his death.
Elias arrives at 4:10 PM. (Arrival time is 18 seconds)
ELIAS: Good afternoon!
GAIL: Good afternoon, Elias.
ELIAS: And you have inquiries this day?
GAIL: Yes, I do. I have questions about my interaction and
experiences with Tom, before his death and after. I’m aware of a
change in the last four months of Tom’s physical focus. What change
was that? Can you explain?
ELIAS: James has been within interaction with myself for much
time period previous to this action of disengagement. In this interaction
there has been an ongoing movement into the direction of this action of
disengagement and there has been many belief systems held and also much
emotion of guilt held within physical focus, which now is affecting of
the area of consciousness which is occupied and the creations that he surrounds
himself with presently.
But within physical focus, the movement was intently directed into the
motion of creating the action of disengagement and the allowance for the
excuse, so to speak, or the permission to be engaging in release of geysers
that have been in place in conjunction to certain shrines that were not
disassembled during physical focus. Are you understanding?
GAIL: Yes.
ELIAS: Presently, James, or the focus of James which you know
to be as that individual that you have called Tom, has not entered into
the area of transition yet, but occupies
another area of consciousness which is quite common to individuals disengaging
that continue to hold very strong belief systems and emotional attachments
to physical focus. He shall be eventually moving into the area of
transition, but at this present now is not within that area or action yet.
GAIL: I have another question. Why did I draw this experience
of Tom’s death to myself?
ELIAS: This offers you information into the area of what occurrences
may be incurred once you are choosing to be disengaging physical focus
in certain situations and given that you are continuing to hold strongly
to belief systems and issues which you hold within a particular physical
focus. In this you offer yourself information as to this action,
for within yourself there are longings, not necessarily to be disengaging
in this type of manner, but there are longings within you to be moving
into other areas of consciousness and to be exploring these areas of consciousness.
In drawing yourself to this particular set of probabilities, so to speak,
you offer yourself information in the area of allowing yourself to view
more of the actions of the occurrences subsequent to disengagement.
It is not always automatic that you immediately move into the area of
transition, into this action of transition. Even if you are engaging
the action of transition within physical focus, you may move yourself into
a temporary state of consciousness which is outside of the action of transition
once choosing to be disengaging from physical focus, dependent upon your
issues and your belief systems which are held within physical focus.
Therefore, in drawing yourself to this action you also offer yourself the
opportunity to view emotions, the opportunity to view the placement of
this information into what you may term to be more of a working order within
your focus, more of a reality as opposed to a concept, and also you draw
this experience to yourself to be clarifying other actions that may be
confusing to you.
GAIL: Hmm. Was Tom engaging in the action of transition
while we were together?
ELIAS: At times, partially, but not entirely and not moving into
the fullness of this action.
GAIL: Hmm. Was Tom’s choice of disengagement directly connected
to the shift, or was it a personal choice?
ELIAS: This would be a situation of an individual, personal choice
which has been directly related to personal issues and held belief systems
which were not allowed to be addressed to.
GAIL: Before Tom died, he was very focused on pyramids and the
sixth point and channeling. Would you give me some information on
this?
ELIAS: He has moved himself within physical focus into many areas
at many different designated points of tremendous distraction, and also
creating an appearance of certain directions outwardly which in some areas
have mirrored the inner confusion that was held during the time framework
of physical focus. In directing attention to aspects of non-physical
interaction in that engagement which you term to be channeling, or in focusing
attention into areas of mysterious wonders, as you term them to be, energies
such as your pyramids may hold, this serves as a distraction that has been
quite purposeful.
Not only has this offered a personal distraction from viewing the issues
which need been addressed to in order to be moving into the action of transition
immediately, but also has served another purposeful action in an allowance
of an amount of acceptance by other individuals, which within the emotional
state of the individual was greatly needed, for the acceptance of self
was of such lacking proportion that the need for acceptance of other individuals
to that self became exaggerated. In this, the distraction also served
well as a link between himself and other individuals, to be engaging other
individuals and allowing for an amount of their acceptance to be substituting
for his own acceptance of self.
GAIL: After Tom’s death, I experienced an interaction with him
in a visual. I connected with two pyramids, and what I believed to
be the focuses of James. Will you explain this, please?
ELIAS: Yes. I shall explain to you the action that you have
engaged, and this may also bring clarification to the previous question
that you have set forth in why you have drawn this experience to yourself,
to which I have offered the answer that you have drawn this experience
to yourself to offer yourself information in actions that you may be engaging
and have been engaging that may be confusing to you.
Now; let me express to you that this individual that you name other
than the focus of James also occupies the area of transition.
Vic’s note: This is in reference to the focus of Jane Roberts.
Therefore, any interaction that may be interpreted as direct interaction
between any individual and this particular focus of the essence of Ruburt
is not an actual energy exchange between this essence and any physically
focused individual. It shall be another focus which is not occupying
the area of transition which substitutes, so to speak, in an allowance
of energy expression with given individuals within physical focus.
Now; let me also explain that this is not the situation that you are
experiencing. This is merely an explanation of what may be possible
to be engaged and be interpreted as an exchange between this individual
focus of that that you term to be Jane and a physically focused individual.
With yourself and these experiences that you have engaged recently,
you are creating an allowance for an energy exchange of a type with your
essence to yourself within physical focus, which provides a comforting
element and partially offers you a soothingness in the area of emotional
involvement. It offers you a validation to yourself of interconnectedness,
and you image this to yourself or you translate this to yourself as some
type of energy exchange between yourself and this individual of Jane.
Now; as to the interaction between yourself and that which you perceive
to be the energy of Tom, the focus of James, this would be an energy deposit
which has been left, so to speak, in active order to be interactive within
physical focus. Many individuals in the action of disengagement choose
to be allowing energy deposits to be remaining within the area of Regional
Area 1, physical focus. This is actual, physical, moving energy;
that which you may term, in your language and in your terms solely, as
living energy. It moves and it pulsates, and it holds elements of
the personality of that particular individual which has occupied physical
focus.
Now; within this energy deposit, the individual engaging disengagement
from physical focus may also insert into this energy deposit any imagery
that they are so choosing to be connecting with any physically focused
individual.
You will find many times throughout your history, in individual situations
or stories of physically focused individuals that hold great affection
or connection to each other within their focus, they may be creating of
an agreement objectively that at the time period of the disengagement of
one, there shall be offered a symbol or imagery to the other individual
which is remaining within physical focus that shall be recognizable to
the remaining individual within physical focus. Throughout your myths,
these may be termed to be “signs” of the continuation of the disengaged
individual for the benefit of the remaining physically focused individual.
These “signs” have been romanticized throughout your history.
In actuality, it is not an actual interaction of the individual focus disengaged
with the individual physically-focused focus, but rather it is an energy
deposit which remains purposefully by the individual who has chosen to
disengage. This is left, so to speak, to offer encouragement and
validation and also comfort to those individuals that remain within physical
focus.
In this, let me express to you that regardless of challenges, issues,
shrines and belief systems that any individual holds within physical focus,
regardless of any of the experiences or actions that they choose to be
engaging within, at the moment of disengagement there is an objective awareness
that there is presented the opportunity to be offering of these energy
deposits, and many times individuals move in the direction of engaging
this action.
Therefore, there are individuals within physical focus that you term
to be psychics that may engage these energy deposits and relate to you
in translation that they have been within contact of this individual that
you term to be “lost” or has moved to the “other side,” so to speak ...
which there is no other side! In this, what they are accessing is
the energy deposit, the personality
which is attached to the energy deposit, and any imagery that the individual
has placed within the energy deposit which shall be recognized by the individual
inquiring of them.
The energy deposit which has been offered to you is that which has held
a fascination or an attention to the individual of Tom before the action
of disengagement. In this action of placing this particular type
of imagery into the energy deposit, it is a recognizable symbol to you,
therefore offering you a validation of the continuation of energy, also
offering you a comfort that no thing has been lost, for although you do
not objectively physically engage the individual any longer, the energy
deposit remains and has been offered to you to be comforting to you in
a manner that shall be recognizable to you personally. Are you understanding?
GAIL: Yes, I am. Yes. I have another question.
Along with that experience of seeing the pyramid and the faces, I also
experienced my energy centers intensifying, and I was able to view into
an area. Can you tell me what that was?
ELIAS: This is an action that you have offered to yourself in
beginning, so to speak. The desire is of great intensity to be connecting
with and interacting with individuals that have disengaged physical focus.
This individual of Tom has offered a motivation in prompting, so to speak,
your own desire and intensifying your own desire.
Now; do not misunderstand what I am expressing to you. The individual
of Tom has not created this situation FOR you. You have created this
yourself by drawing yourself to a situation that shall be extremely motivating
to you. As I have expressed previously many times, the action of
the shift is NOW, and you hold the ability -- ALL of you hold the ability
-- to be accessing all of the action of this shift in consciousness within
this present now if you are widening your awareness and opening to your
periphery.
You hold the ability to move into all of these areas that I have expressed
to you previously. In this you also hold the ability to be moving
into interaction objectively with individuals that occupy the area of transition
and offering yourself more of an understanding of the action of transition,
for your engagement with any individual within this action of transition
non-physically shall prove to you the discounting, so to speak, of the
belief systems that you hold so very strongly in relation to this action
of transition and the singularity of each focus, for as you allow yourself
to engage interaction with any individual within the action of non-physical
transition, you also allow yourself a participation partially in this transitional
action.
In that participation of experience, you shall share the experience
of the mergence of all focuses, therefore offering yourself the information
that all is not so very singular and that one particular focus, in the
midst of viewing ALL focuses within transition ONLY, may appear to hold
much less significance temporarily than your belief systems dictate to
you within physical focus.
Now; within the action that you have engaged, you are moving in a very
beginning motion into an allowance of piercing a veil to be interactive
with individuals within the action of non-physical transition. You
have not moved entirely into this action or allowed yourself a complete
viewing of this, nor have you entirely pierced the veil, but you have initiated
a beginning.
GAIL: I had a dream. I thought it was an experience at the
time with Jane. She was dictating, and on a blank book appeared words,
and as she spoke them they appeared on the page. Can you explain
that dream to me?
ELIAS: This would also be your imagery to yourself in comforting
yourself and also in validating yourself in your action of the beginning
of piercing this veil. Therefore, you offer yourself imagery, from
essence to yourself within this focus, in an area that you may understand
and that is familiar to you. You view this individual of Jane to
be familiar. You view a recognizable, physical objective energy that
you identify with, and therefore this is familiar to you. You also
hold a feeling of safety within interaction of this individual. You
also hold a knowing, from the information which has been offered to you
by myself and other essences, that this particular individual is within
the area presently of non-physical transition. Therefore, there is
a knowing of the area of consciousness that this particular individual
occupies. There is a certainty in this direction. You do not
question that this individual may or may not be engaging this action of
non-physical transition. This offers you a feeling, so to speak,
of safety. It also offers you a directedness in your attention.
Your desire moves in the area of wishing to be piercing this veil.
Therefore, you offer yourself in imagery a focal point, so to speak, and
the image of this individual is that which you have chosen for yourself
as a focal point to be directing your attention and your energy into the
action of piercing this veil.
You also offer yourself imagery of words appearing upon the page as
they are spoken, for this offers you a mystical quality that you do not
observe automatically within your attention objectively in physical focus.
Therefore, this action is your own imagery to yourself of actions within
non-physical areas of consciousness that SEEM to be beyond the accepted
workings of physical reality, therefore may be classified in this mystical
manner as non-physical actions. But be remembering that this is quite
objective physical imagery, for within non-physical areas of consciousness,
there would be no need for paper or words.
GAIL: I have a question about paper
and words. I’ve always had trouble taking my thoughts and putting
them into verbal sentences. Can you tell me why I have such trouble
with that, and what I can do to change that?
ELIAS: Let me express to you William, as I have expressed previously
to you, that you have allowed yourself for much time period within this
particular focus to be engaging subjective activities and allowing yourself
to move into certain aspects of disengagement of objective interaction.
This continues within this present now, although you do move into the area
within your practicing of allowing yourself to become more accomplished
at articulating yourself and expressing yourself objectively in interaction
with other individuals and also with yourself. But you have engaged
this action of non-communication objectively and non-allowance of interaction
objectively for very much of your focus, and in that you have become familiar
with that action. Therefore, it is comfortable to you.
Now you move into areas of exploration, but as with all individuals
within physical focus, you shall always automatically move into those areas
that you objectively view as being familiar to you, regardless that they
be comfortable or uncomfortable, acceptable or unacceptable. Any
aspect of experience or creation within your focus that appears to hold
familiarity to you, you shall automatically magnate to, and this be the
reason that you each experience, yourself also, difficulty in moving into
acceptance of belief systems or moving through strongly held issues, for
these issues are familiar to you, which create familiar behavior, which
although at times certain issues and certain behaviors may objectively
appear to be uncomfortable or may feel within your emotions to be uncomfortable,
there is also a sense of comfort in them within their familiarity.
Are you understanding?
GAIL: Yes. Yes, I am. I have one more question. Tom
and I would meditate together, and he set up a situation where I would
view a cube, and he asked me to tell him what I saw, and I expressed some
imagery. Can you tell me about that?
ELIAS: And express your imagery.
GAIL: It was a cube and it was rotating, and I viewed that it
was rotating in the direction of a memory tile, and what was coming into
it was tones on one side and color reflecting out from another side.
ELIAS: And what is your interpretation of this action?
GAIL: I really don’t know! That’s kind of why I’m asking
you! (Laughing)
ELIAS: (Chuckling) Very well. Let me express to you
that the reason I move in the direction of inquiring of you what your interpretation
is, is to be encouraging you to be acknowledging of yourself and to be
noticing of your impressions and of more of the actions that you engage
while you are engaging these visualizations.
Many actions or impressions that you may be holding within these visualizations
hold very subtle qualities, therefore are not so obviously viewed by you
and may be overlooked. But in this fascination that you hold with
creating visual imagery, you may be offering yourself more information
and more validation of yourself, and also more acceptance of yourself,
if you are allowing yourself to quiet yourself and be noticing those subtleties
that are presenting themselves to you; not merely only the physical imagery
or visualization itself, but the feelings and the movement that surround
the imagery of the visualization.
Now; in this let me express to you that this once again serves as a
focal point. You, as other individuals also, hold an ability in the
area of visualization. Some individuals are connecting with information
within different manners: some within feelings, some within thoughts, some
within different engagements of physical senses, and some within visualizations.
You move in the direction of visualizations, but regardless of what manner
any individual is choosing to be connecting with information and offering
themselves focal points in these areas, the subtleties are present in different
manners, attaching themselves to these focal points that each of you may
be connecting with and offering yourselves information.
Therefore, the cube, the visualization, the imagery is the focal point
for your attention. This is a visual, a picture that offers you the
directedness of your attention in one area. It allows you to focus
your vision to not be distracting you in other areas.
In this, once your visual is directed and your attention has been placed
upon the visual, you may move away from the attention upon the visual and
direct your attention into the surrounding areas of the subtleties that
you are offering to yourself for your own information. This, once
again, is closely related to the exercise in clarity which has been offered.

Now; be remembering also that you and I have engaged conversation, so
to speak, in the area of this exercise in clarity several times.
Within probabilities, the reason that there has been a focus with yourself,
and also with my engagement with you, in the area of this exercise in clarity
is that it may be very helpful to you in the directions that you now move.
For if you have offered yourself the opportunity to be engaging your ability
to manipulate your outer senses and move in the direction of focusing upon
one outer sense and disengaging all others, or conversely, disengaging
one and engaging all others, this allows you practice to be engaging this
very action of which we speak this day -- in your viewing a focal point
and disengaging your attention, which is visual, upon that particular focal
point and allowing yourself to clearly hone in, so to speak, upon the surrounding
subtleties, which are the offerings of information within impressions and
information of other areas of consciousness that you may be accessing.
You ask yourselves many times how you may be creating of a method to
be engaging other areas of consciousness and other experiences than merely
your singular, objective attention within your officially accepted reality.
These may be classified as your methods ... although they are not methods!
But in this you offer yourself the opportunity to create your own method,
so to speak, of engaging information which shall provide you with your
road maps for your movement into areas of experiences that your desire
directs you into. It offers you the information for the blueprints
of accessing other areas of consciousness and other information.
In this you may continue to be practicing with this particular cube,
but do not be focused so attentively upon the visual and its movement,
and allow yourself to be accessing the information which surrounds the
visual.
GAIL: I do remember what that felt like, so I think I can go there.
I have another question. Did Tom accomplish his value
fulfillment?
ELIAS: Every individual is accomplishing of their value fulfillment
throughout their physical focus, and when they are not fulfilling their
value fulfillment, they are choosing to be disengaging. This individual
of Tom was not creating of his value fulfillment any longer, and therefore
was choosing to be disengaging of this physical focus.
GAIL: Is Tom aware of our interaction today?
ELIAS: Not objectively, for the individual occupies an area of
consciousness, as I have expressed, which you may term to be between physical
focus and non-physical transition action. Therefore, in this state
of consciousness, what shall occupy the individual’s attention and interaction
shall be the creation of their own belief systems and strongly held issues.
Vic’s note: The following was delivered very intently and very
emphatically, and with more seriousness than Elias usually displays.
ELIAS: This is NOT a negative action. Be understanding of
this! Energy must be expressed. Energy is ALWAYS expressed,
and if it is not allowed its natural expression, it shall express itself
in other manners. Once disengaging physical focus, the energy shall
be expressed in a natural manner which shall be creating of imagery in
alignment with those issues which have not been addressed to within physical
focus.
Now; I express to you strongly, this is NOT -- underline not -- a reviewing
of your lifetime, so to speak. It is NOT karma. It is NOT punishment.
It is NOT an automatic action that is created by some outside force which
moves you into the area of accountability. It is a CHOICE which is
automatically entered into after disengagement to be releasing objectively
held energy in the area which has been held in shrines and issues which
were not chosen to be engaged or moved through within physical focus.
Therefore, there is engaged a TEMPORARY -- underline temporary -- situation
with these individuals that they shall engage before the action of transition,
a shedding or a releasing of this held or pent-up energy which is directly
related to one individual focus, therefore allowing more of an ease and
a balance once moving into the area of transition and the action of viewing
all focuses and of meshing all focuses in the shedding of objective awareness.
Now; within a final focus, if issues
are held tightly and not chosen to be addressed to or moved through within
physical focus, many times the individual focus shall choose to create
this in-between state temporarily, for the action of transition is slightly
different in the engagement of a final focus than would it be in the engagement
of not a final focus.
This particular individual was/is a final focus. Therefore, the
action of transition shall be different from an individual focus that is
not a final focus. The intensity is slightly greater and the action
in your physical terms may be termed to be slightly longer, for there is
no choice for a remanifestation.
Now; I am quite understanding that these terms are confusing to you
all, for the terms are inadequate in the area of words such as remanifestation.
For as I have expressed to you, you are not used parts and you do not remanifest,
although an aspect of you may, and this may also be confusing to you, as
in reality there is no RE-manifestation, for all of your manifestations
are simultaneous. Therefore, you may not repeat or re-enter, for
that is a designation of linear time which is merely relative to physical
focus and not to non-physical focus.
In this, the individual of Tom, the focus of Tom, has entered into an
area of consciousness, as I have stated, of in-between, that he may be
releasing this energy; which in this particular situation, the most strongly
held energy which was chosen not to be addressed to and not moved through
is that of the emotion of guilt, which is a very strong lack of acceptance
of self. To be facilitating more of an ease in entering into the
action of transition non-physically, he has chosen initially to be addressing
to these issues, to this emotion of guilt and the lack of acceptance of
self within that particular focus, and in this action, the occurrence and
the creation of this is that the individual presently creates a scenario
in full imagery, in very like manner to your physically focused imagery,
that shall be addressing to these particular issues solely.
GAIL: Did Tom create the cancer as an objective excuse to disengage?
Vic’s note: Tom was diagnosed with cancer shortly before he died.
ELIAS: Yes.
GAIL: Wow.
ELIAS: Quite efficient, is it not?
GAIL: Oh, yeah! I have a question. Does the tone of
Tom currently hold awareness of Gail?
ELIAS: Partially. Let me express to you in explanation of
this that the essence of James holds an awareness of the focus of Gail.
The focus of Tom, which is presently occupying this in-between area of
consciousness, holds partial memory of the individual of Gail, but occupies
the attention of the focus more intensely with addressing to the issues
that need be addressed to before entering the area and the action of transition.
YOU hold more of an objective awareness of the focus of Tom, as the focus
of Gail, than the focus of Tom holds of you.
GAIL: I can lend energy to him from this point, in helpfulness
to him. Is that correct?
ELIAS: This is correct.
GAIL: Does Gail hold an aspect in this in-between area that is
so like physical focus in which Tom is now?
ELIAS: No. This area that is occupied by the focus of Tom
is, in a manner of speaking, singular to his attention. It is not
singular in essence or within consciousness, but within his attention it
appears to be singular and isolated.
GAIL: I have another question. Who is the essence that I’m
fragmented of?
ELIAS: (Accessing) This would be an essence not in conjunction
with our game or with these essences that lend energy and action to this
particular energy exchange. If you are wishing for the tone of this
particular essence, it would be translated into the word of Moldor, M-O-L-D-O-R,
which is another essence affiliated with the Sumafi family, but not engaged
in an action of facilitating this energy exchange that you view presently.
GAIL: Hmm. And who is the essence that Tom is fragmented
of?
ELIAS: (Accessing) This essence also is belonging to the
Sumafi family, but is not facilitating of this energy exchange.
GAIL: Hmm. I have another question. Is this in-between
area in Regional Area 1 or Regional
Area 3?
ELIAS: This area of consciousness which is in-between would be
occupying the area of Regional Area 3, but not within the action of transition.
(Pause)
GAIL: Well, I think you’ve answered all my questions, pretty much.
Is there anything you want to say to me?
ELIAS: I shall express to you affection and encouragement.
I am understanding of the emotional state that you occupy presently within
your physical focus. I am also aware of the intensity of this emotional
state, but be assured that although the answers to certain of these questions
may not align with your belief systems and may move into an area of slight
discomfort for you, that you may also be comforting of yourself in the
knowing that there is no real separation. There is only the perceived
separation within layers of consciousness that you have created within
physical focus merely for the singularity of your attention and the purity
of your experiences, and also the intensity of your emotions, which are
one of the base elements of this particular dimension and its creation
for experience.
In this, accept from this essence of Elias acknowledgment and encouragement
in your movement within your focus, and also be accepting of my affection
to you in this time period and always, and I shall be interactive with
you as I have been already and shall continue to be futurely, that I may
also be lending energy to you and offering you helpfulness in your endeavors
and in your experience of your own trauma in relation to certain experiences
that you have drawn yourself to. Do not be fearful of your own expressions
and the allowance of these expressions, for they are all elements of your
experience which you have drawn yourself into, and they shall be beneficial
to you.
In this I offer you much lovingness this day, and I also offer to you
my blanket of energy, which has been offered to other individuals also
in their engagement of extreme emotional experiences. Count this
joyfully, in your knowing that you have allowed yourself the opportunity
to experience a true fullness of certain emotions that you create within
your physical focus. I shall be interactive with you, and I shall
continue for a time period to wrap energy around you in helpfulness to
you.
Therefore, I offer to you this day, and to all that engage you in helpfulness
and supportiveness, much lovingness and a very fond adieu.
GAIL: Thank you.

Following is the exercise in clarity, from session #122, 9/22/96:
In this, I shall be offering this evening an exercise, for it is difficult
to be recognizing of alternate channels and understanding the transmission
which is occurring upon alternate channels when you do not tune completely
to the one channel that holds your attention. Your focus is blurred.
You believe that your attention is directed and clear within the channel
that you view, your objective attention, but you shall perceive soon just
how blurred your attention truly is!
We have incorporated discussion of your outer senses as you view them,
their function and how you create them. Within this exercise, we
shall be focusing upon these senses, for until you learn to tune your attention
clearly, you will not understand the interaction that you may view within
alternate channels. You may tune to these other channels, but they
will appear even less clear and confusing to you than the channel that
you are attentive to within your waking consciousness. Therefore,
I shall direct you within an exercise.
As I have stated, it is important that you view the one channel that
holds your directed attention clearly. In this, I shall instruct
you within our exercise. Within the beginning elements of this
exercise, I shall be asking you to be holding your field of vision, not
closing eyes, for you are tuning to THIS attention, THIS station, THIS
channel. You are noticing and allowing clarity of this channel.
Therefore, the purpose is not to be altering your state.
In this, I will ask you to sit comfortably. (Pause) Focus
upon any given object within your room, but do not concentrate intensely
upon this object. Allow for your vision to normally encompass the
entirety of the room, with one main focal point. Do not strain and
do not force yourselves to be concentrating very hard upon any given object.
In this, now tune your consciousness to your senses. Notice your
vision. Allow your vision to be as clear as it may possibly be.
Tune to your hearing. Notice all of the sounds that occur.
Many sounds are occurring that you automatically tune out and pay little
attention to. Notice your body -- your physical feelings, your body
temperature. Notice your sense of touch. The air touches your
skin continuously. Your clothing touches your skin. These are
all elements that are a part of the clarity of your focus, to which you
pay little attention to. Notice smells. You pay little attention
to your sense of smell throughout your individual mundane day. Notice
your sense of taste. You view that if you are not consuming something,
you are not tasting anything. Your senses are highly tuned, and respond
regardless. They incorporate continuous stimulation. You only
choose to not be clear upon these senses.
Take a moment to concentrate, unstrained, upon the activity of all of
these senses that you incorporate throughout every moment of your physical
focus. (Here, there is a ninety second pause)
Now, I will be instructing each of you to be closing your eyes and allowing
your attention to drift. Do not be focusing upon your outer senses,
so to speak. Allow yourself to feel comfortable and calm and quiet.
(Here, there is a thirty second pause) Enough drifting!
You will notice that with your eyes closed, you WILL drift. You
have experienced, within your attempts at meditation at times, difficulty
in holding your focus. You experience, much of your time within your
dream state, an inability to hold your focus and manipulate within that
focus. This exercise of tuning your directed attention, your consciousness
which is tuned to this channel, will be very helpful to you in instructional
areas of developing your ability to be manipulating within alternate channels.
Altered states, as you term these, are all alternate channels. If
you hold the ability to consciously manipulate within the consciousness
that holds your attention, you will more easily learn to manipulate and
understand within alternate channels of consciousness.
Therefore, throughout this week, until our next meeting, I shall offer
you the opportunity for what you would term to be homework! I shall
be instructing you to be practicing this exercise three times within each
of your days. You may incorporate this exercise at any given moment,
for your eyes are open and you are attentive to all those individuals around
you and also any activity that you may be engaging, for you are tuning
your consciousness more clearly. You are not drifting. You
are not placing yourself into an altered state. Therefore, this exercise
will not be interrupting of your normal activity. No one shall view
you as weird! No one shall even know, objectively.
In this, incorporate one time for initiating this exercise within your
evening time while you are relaxed at your home individually. Therefore,
you may follow your directed “tuning in” to your attention channel by closing
your eyes and allowing yourself to drift. In this, while you are
allowing yourself to drift, you may incorporate this action briefly, only
within a time element to be noticing those events that are occurring.
This may be color flashes. It may be feelings. It may be scenes.
You may incorporate visualizations. You may incorporate mental images,
as you term these. You may find yourself incorporating thoughts “slinging”
by you rapidly. Notice what occurs.
Do not concentrate intensely upon the experience. It is only an
exercise. It is unnecessary to be very serious and directed!
(Humorously) You may incorporate this as fun, and it may be brief.
It is not necessary for you to be setting aside hours of your time and
very directedly concentrating on accomplishing! It is more important
for you to be tuning consciously, eyes open, to the awareness that you
are familiar with, for as you learn to be directed and manipulating within
that directedness, you shall also learn to be directing within alternate
realities.
I express to you that you may be manipulating within your clarity, for
what you have experienced presently within this exercise is only noticing.
As your week progresses and you are incorporating this exercise, you may
attempt to manipulate these senses. Allow the clarity of your hearing,
and then intentionally turn it off. Allow the clarity of your sense
of smell, and then disengage. Allow yourselves the opportunity to
view your own ability to manipulate your own consciousness and its functions,
for in this you may much more easily recognize how to be manipulating when
encountering different events within alternate focuses. The objective
in tuning out an individual sense is NOT to be defocusing or tuning out!
It is to show yourselves that you DO hold the ability to manipulate concentratedly
and precisely. You hold the ability to be immaculately precise!
Therefore you may tune, quite finely and clearly, all of your senses, and
you may also teach yourself to manipulate these senses.
