JIM: Right, yes. That’s a good answer. I was extremely pleased at the opportunity to give the woman in the recycling center the information that I had on Mahji. The way that event shaped up, it seemed to be something that we both desired, not consciously for her, of course. Was that really the case?

JIM: To a large extent. Did you have anything to do with the merry chase that I recently experienced while trying to store a transcript of one of your sessions the way I usually do with session transcripts? I even had to fish it out of the recycle bin at one point.
ELIAS: (Laughs) Yes.
JIM: Yes. (Laughs) Was that to call my attention to session content or was it just for my amusement?
ELIAS: It was an expression of playfulness.
JIM: Playfulness. It was playful all right.
ELIAS: (Laughs) And also a reminder of my presence.
JIM: Yes. I’ve seen your blue splotch quite a bit lately. Apparently I’m focused in the right direction now.
ELIAS: (Laughs)
JIM: Is the woman in the picture that I have labeled Esther a focus of Patmae?
ELIAS: Yes.
JIM: She is. I’m having trouble getting her surname. Is it something like Salisan?
ELIAS: Salisar.
JIM: Salisar?
ELIAS: Yes.

JIM: I’ve been thinking about my stories. I have them roughly divided into those that I feel arose primarily from my inner self and those that I feel are products of my libido. The fallacy, I think, is the idea that my libido is part of my objective self and not really me. I now feel that the distinctions that I am making with regard to my stories reflect my preferences, not the origin of my stories. Is that the case?
