ELIAS: Good afternoon.
JOYCE: Oh! Hello. (Elias laughs) Oh my! I’m so excited. No, I have to… I have to calm my energy, because I’m really excited (Elias laughs) and it’s lovely to be in touch with you. Thank you.
I am happy to hear what you have to say about the issues that I have with my back and hips. You gave the information in Steph’s session recently. Can you tell me what’s going on there?
ELIAS: And what are your impressions or your assessments?
JOYCE: Oh. Okay. Well, actually I don’t know. I don’t know. I’ve been allergic to yoga because I’m a bit hypermobile, and I’ve been wary of stretches because I have pulled myself apart in the past. However, I’ve been doing some leg stretches in a yoga book that I have for the past two or three days and I feel that they will help. I understand that yoga puts the body through positions that you just don’t get in normal life.
ELIAS: Correct.
JOYCE: And that it might well be good to do. So I’m…
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Yeah. This is new for me. (Laughs) I’m quite flexible because I’ve done Alexander Technique for many years. And I’m puzzled about why I’m having… I’ve got a bit of hip arthritis in my right hip. In the left hip, three weeks ago I was lying in bed, just lying in bed, and had a stabbing pain lower in the abdomen on the left. I knew it wasn’t my appendix and I instantly thought, “Well, this is the ovary,” and I thought, “Well okay, it might be a cyst but it doesn’t feel malignant.” And I went to the doctor and she prodded around. She said she can’t feel any cysts or lumps, which was a relief. But the best thing was that you said it’s actually both hips and my back. I know I have issues with my upper back, but, given that it’s also hips, I’m thinking there might be something going on in the lower back too.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Other than that, I have—
ELIAS: Which is the reason that you thought you were feeling it in an ovary.
JOYCE: Yes. Well the hip arthritis certainly, it started by feeling like a groin strain except I hadn’t strained anything. So, the pain has improved such that – I mean, it was always intermittent – such that it is now almost just a wee itch but it’s still there. So I’m keen to work on it.
ELIAS: I’d say—
JOYCE: Yes?
ELIAS: —that doing the stretches with yoga is very good. If you can’t actually get yourself into a programme with yoga, then I would advise at least doing the stretches. Are you meditating?
JOYCE: Oh. Intermittently I’m afraid, but yes.
ELIAS: (Chuckles) I would suggest that you make time to do that every day.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: And I would express to you that what is happening is actually as I stated, structural rather than a matter of something affecting your organs. And in that structural manifestation, what’s happened is your spine in places has compressed. Which, let me say to you, that that is actually considerably normal.
JOYCE: Common, surely.
ELIAS: It happens with most people.
JOYCE: Yeah. Common, not normal. (Laughs)
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Right?
ELIAS: Yes. Very well. And I would say to you that it comes from years and years and years of life, and wear and tear on the body.
JOYCE: Yes. Yes.
ELIAS: The same as a vehicle.
JOYCE: Right. In my case—
ELIAS: And in that, the structural aspect is one of the bones in your spine and the hip bones and their casings, and that’s very, very common. What I would say is that does not mean that you should have surgery.
JOYCE: Oh, thank you. I don’t want surgery. (Both laugh) No.
ELIAS: That is—
JOYCE: My school friend has just had—
ELIAS: I would—
JOYCE: —both done.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: No, I can manage it. I’ve been having Alexander lessons and they have been amazing. So…
ELIAS: Good. Good.
JOYCE: Now I do want to ask, because I understand that this might be connected to the work I’ve been doing uncovering behaviors related to my early trauma.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: While I want to keep uncovering and at least addressing it, I’m not sure what to do with it now. They’ve come flooding in, but I do not want to have this be, have them take themselves out on my body. Ha! I’d rather not take the trauma out on my body because that doesn’t…
ELIAS: I understand.
JOYCE: Yeah.
ELIAS: And I’d say that it’s a matter of being aware, first of all – which you are – and catching your own behaviors that have come from those traumas.
JOYCE: Yes. That is—
ELIAS: And in that, what I would say is I will express to you what I express to everyone in the beginning, is look at and address to the physical first.
JOYCE: Ah! Right.
ELIAS: Because if you’re uncomfortable or if you’re in pain, you’re going to have difficulty concentrating on the nonphysical part of what’s happening. Therefore address to the physical first and as it becomes less and less bothersome to you, then you can move in the direction of looking at the trauma.
Now; to begin with though, I will express some things to you in relation to trauma that will allow you to move in a direction of addressing to it. Therefore I’d say first of all, what do you remember?
JOYCE: What do I remember? Very little. I’m piecing things together and linking them to what I know happened. I’m the first child and my mum loved babies and children, and I think my existence for the first two years was idyllic. My dad was around but not very much so it was, a lot of the time, it was just me and Mum. But she had another child, and in those days you didn’t prepare or warn the child that you had first. So going from basically a one-parent family, I was sent off for a week to my grandmother and a household of five adults, and they said I was fine. And then I came back. There was Mum, but there was a sister. And my world was, well it was devastated and I learned very early on to hate. We… We never got on. She didn’t have a chance. She was born into a family where somebody hated her.
So piecing the clues back to this, the extreme reaction I have to rejection is there, even a minor rejection. I’m extremely anxious and I’m extremely nervous, like I’m on pins the whole time – even for things like I decide it will be nice to have a meal for friends. I’ll make a meal for friends but then when it comes to actually having the meal for friends, I am so anxious. I can’t relax. I can’t digest. I’m worried about whether they will like the food. Same with buying birthday presents. I worry and worry whether they’ll like… It’s… It’s… I know it’s not making sense. It’s irrational. There’s that. And there’s not allowing myself to feel my feelings, because they’re too painful.
Also I had, and this is quite, well I find it serious. I hated children. I never wanted to have children. I met a man who adores children and is so warm and loving and I thought, “Oh my goodness, I’m going to have to have a child.” Well it was a bit of an accident, but we have a son.
I was distressed to find from a recent session someone shared that the foetus is very affected by the mother’s condition. I wasn’t just frightened of the birth, which is probably normal. I was terrified that my life would be… be over, in a way. I was ultra, ultra-frightened. And my poor husband, he was wonderful throughout the whole pregnancy, but he was terrified that I was going to abandon him with a child. (Sighs)
What I would… What I would like help with is, is there anything I can do to help my son? He is very isolated. He has friends online but he simply… He spends most of his life in his room, a bit like the Japanese Hikikomori people. He will, he will go out into the world if we all go out for a meal but even suggesting a walk, he doesn’t want to do that. He’s not working. He’s not earning, anyway. He’s…
ELIAS: Does he live with you?
JOYCE: Yes. Yes.
ELIAS: Very well.
JOYCE: We’re… We’re supporting him but… And I, I feel more open to allowing him to be as he needs to be than his dad, who is more anxious about the fact that he’s not following… He’s not taken a step out into his life, it seems. I’m aware that this might be a different life to the “normal,” in inverted commas, but I would like to support him. I’d like to do anything… I know that he chose his parents and… Well, it’s a very painful situation, Elias.
ELIAS: I can express that I know that from your energy, which is—
JOYCE: Yeah.
ELIAS: — tremendously tense and anxious.
JOYCE: (Sighs) Well, I—
ELIAS: Now—
JOYCE: Yeah.
ELIAS: First of all, the first thing that we’re going to do is you’re going to begin meditating every day, religiously.
JOYCE: I will.
ELIAS: Because that is a practice that will actually be very instrumental in changing the situation.
JOYCE: Right. Good.
ELIAS: I’m not going to tell you that you can’t help your son until you help yourself, but I will say that your help with your son can only move so far—
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: — because you’re still setting an example through your behaviors.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: What you do is being observed. It’s been observed by him since he was an infant and he’s still observing. And even though he may not be intentionally aware of that, he’s still observing you and your anxieties and your distrust, and then he takes that on also. If you’re doing it, then there must be a reason for you to do that and that means that the world is not some place that is safe and it’s not something to trust.
JOYCE: (Emotionally) That makes sense. It really does.
ELIAS: Now; that doesn’t mean that you can’t change that. You can, because these are behavioral issues.
JOYCE: Right. Right.
ELIAS: Therefore you CAN change it.
JOYCE: Yes, of course.
ELIAS: And the first piece in changing that is starting with the yoga, and also breathing. Very simple, very simple. And in that, I would say that you can actually be breathing and in that simple action make all the anxiety and stress go away, and you can proceed in a common expression. And in this, what is important is for you to identify your behaviors that you have developed as a child and as an adult, and understanding that children don’t think the same way as adults do. Therefore uncovering certain influences of behaviors sometimes can be difficult and a tricky business, because they’re not as straightforward as an adult’s behaviors would be because children don’t perceive their world in the same manner as adults do. And therefore what’s happening – which is very common – is that you’re carrying with you behaviors that were created as a child and they’re still happening.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: You being anxious about anything.
JOYCE: Anything. Lots of things. Everything. Anxious about speaking to you! (Laughs)
ELIAS: I understand. That is very understandable, and I would say that it’s a matter of the first step is when you start to be anxious, breathe.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: Regardless of where you are or what you’re doing, stop what you’re doing and breathe.
JOYCE: Yes. I can do that.
ELIAS: Then recognise that the feelings are signals.
JOYCE: Of course.
ELIAS: The feelings are not an indicator that something bad is going to happen or that something bad is happening. They’re simply signals and they’re alerting you in relation to what you’re doing in the moment. Because I will say I know you have been privy to this information for quite some time now and I would say to you that you likely already know this, intellectually.
JOYCE: Yes. (Laughs)
ELIAS: But it’s a matter of knowing in your body. Knowing that it isn’t only abandonment that you’re experiencing and that’s causing all of this anxiety, it’s betrayal.
JOYCE: Oh! Oh my! (Emotionally) Of course. Of course. Yes.
ELIAS: Therefore what you as a little girl did was develop behaviors and associations about what that is, what that betrayal is. That you weren’t warned, you weren’t included, and then after being loved and cherished by your mother, suddenly there’s someone else in your family that’s being loved and cherished. And in that, that makes you, as a small one, angry.
JOYCE: Oh, furious. Raging.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Absolutely.
ELIAS: And what you’ve harboured and carried with you is that betrayal, and therefore that’s what you see in everything.
JOYCE: Ah!
ELIAS: That this is going to betray me. It doesn’t have to be a person. It could be, let’s say, an airplane: “I cannot get on an airplane. I cannot go anywhere that requires me being on an airplane, because the airplane will then betray my trust that it can carry me safely to another destination, and I’m not willing to take that risk.”
JOYCE: That kind of thing.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Writ large. Uh-huh.
ELIAS: Betrayal is a very strong expression and that, that is tough to move through.
JOYCE: Right.
ELIAS: You have to be aware. You have to be vigilant, not hyper-vigilant, but simply vigilant in the manner that you are paying attention to your own behaviors and what you’re doing, because your behaviors are the indicator as to what’s happening. In this, I would be very encouraging of you, because you can do this.
JOYCE: Yes. Yes, I recognise that.
ELIAS: Behaviors can be changed, especially if you’re motivated. And although you may not have wanted children, you had one and you love him.
JOYCE: Oh, yes. Oh yes. I realised as soon as he was born that I was wrong. I had just been wrong all my life. (Laughs and Elias chuckles) That was a big lesson. And…
ELIAS: I imagine so. Because you were basing that assessment on having this stranger introduced into your family.
JOYCE: That’s right. She stole my mum. (Chuckles)
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: She stole her.
ELIAS: Yes. And your mother betrayed you by having her.
JOYCE: Yes. Yes. I compensated by imagining a closer bond with my dad, until he died. It wasn’t until he died that I realised it was a complete fiction, that he loved us both equally. (Laughs) But I needed to have someone, and while he was around, he was around but he was working all the hours building up the business.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: So… (Sighs)
ELIAS: It’s a lot to untangle.
JOYCE: Yes, but I feel encouraged. Thank you.
ELIAS: Oh you’re very, very welcome. Absolutely.
JOYCE: Would you--
ELIAS: I would say that this is something that, if you genuinely pay attention what you can do is, you can start today. And what the two biggest things that you can do is, in your meditation, set an intention in your meditation when you first begin, that you want to be aware of your body and what it’s telling you, because your emotions all come from your body.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: Your feelings all come from your body. Therefore in that, that’s the first step, is to be aware of what your body is communicating to you. And then the next piece is, how is this being projected outward in energy and in behaviors and affecting the people around me? Because even when you don’t think you’re doing anything to affect the people around you, you are.
JOYCE: Yes. Yes, I understand that. Mm.
ELIAS: In this, with your meditation you can actually play with that and you can develop some type of signals that you assign to your body, in addition to feelings, and in that, expressing that you want to be in co-operation with your body because it’s part of you. And in that, you want to be in that co-operation in order to be aware when you’re expressing in some manner that’s not healthy.
JOYCE: Right. Yes.
ELIAS: The point is for you, first, to become healthy and to be aware of your wellbeing, and then you can actually engage with your son more effectively because he will be watching.
JOYCE: Yes. Yes. We’ve proved this to ourselves actually because Rob and I went to counselling, years ago. We wanted it to be family counselling and bring Ewan too, but he didn’t want to go. (Laughs) And it changed. It changed us and it changed Ewan, and he got himself to university. He sorted it all out himself, having had a false start a few years earlier. So I know that changing us, changing me, will ripple and change what I’m not happy with here.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Uh-huh.
ELIAS: Yes. Absolutely.
JOYCE: Would you… Would you give me Ewan’s essence name? I know his families but I don’t know what… Actually, his intent is more important.
ELIAS: I can provide both.
JOYCE: Oh, thank you.
ELIAS: But first, do you have an impression as to the intent?
JOYCE: Absolutely no idea. I’m sorry. I am completely lost with that.
ELIAS: What does it seem to be with his experiences in life? What seems to be consistent?
JOYCE: Isolation. That’s all that I can see. He’s… He’s… He’s much more of a self-starter than I am. He’s an aristocratic personality, and I can see that coming through. He is teaching himself computer coding and works away at that.
ELIAS: Hm.
JOYCE: But I’m at a loss. I have no idea.
ELIAS: Very well. First the essence name. (Pause) Essence name: Sean (SHAWN).
JOYCE: Oh. How do you spell that?
ELIAS: S-E-A N.
JOYCE: Ah. The Irish way. Yes. Wow.
ELIAS: And his intent in this focus is exploring how to manoeuvre in a world that doesn’t accommodate.
JOYCE: Oh. Oh, that makes so much sense actually. That does.
ELIAS: Therefore, in that, I would say that with that type of an intent, it doesn’t mean that he is doom and gloom, and that he’s set on a path to be completely isolated forever and unhappy, but it means that he’s exploring all the avenues of that, including what will make someone such as himself content and motivated, because he’s exploring how to manoeuvre with other people.
JOYCE: Yes. And actually now that you say that, he, even as a child, hated being taught something. He wanted to be thrown in at the deep end and splash around and find his own way. (Elias chuckles) That’s exactly what he’s doing, manoeuvring.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: In a world that doesn’t—
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: — necessarily accommodate. That’s amazing. I don’t think… I don’t know that I will share this with him. I don’t want to put—
ELIAS: You don’t have to.
JOYCE: Yeah, but that’s really helpful for me.
Would you do the same for Rob, please, my husband? What might my impression be? Well, oh, he’s a healer. He’s a musician and he teaches piano and he teaches a sort of… Well he calls it Meditative Listening Using Focusing. He’s, he’s so warm. What might his intent be? Ha! It’s funny, he has a Grand Trine in his chart, in his astrological chart and people are drawn to him and he doesn’t understand why. (Both laugh)
ELIAS: Ah! Similar to Michael. (Chuckles)
JOYCE: Really!
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Oh, that’s interesting. She doesn’t—
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Uh-huh.
ELIAS: (Chuckles) And doesn’t move in directions of what you would expect either, very similar to your husband. But what I would say is his intent in this focus is the exploration of how to be successful in any and all directions with people, and using music as a language.
JOYCE: Right.
ELIAS: Successfully.
JOYCE: Yes. That makes a lot of sense. The success, his success is important to him.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: It’s very important. That’s amazing. It’s amazing that now that you say this, I actually know that. I can agree with it and yet I couldn’t come up with it myself.
ELIAS: (Chuckles) It’s understandable.
JOYCE: Yeah. What’s his… What’s his essence name, please?
ELIAS: One moment. (Pause) Essence name: Leonardo.
JOYCE: Ah! Leonardo, like Da Vinci?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Wow! (Laughs) That’s wonderful. While you’re divining, can I ask you what my talent is, please? I imagine it’s got something to do with attention to detail.
ELIAS: I agree. And what else would you say?
JOYCE: Oh! (Laughs and Elias chuckles) I’m tempted to say something of a light-heartedness, but I don’t know. No. No. You’ll have to say. Sorry. (Both laugh)
ELIAS: I would say actually, not light-heartedness, because you’re not always light-hearted.
JOYCE: Indeed not. (Both laugh).
ELIAS: But I would say compassionate and warmth. That is something that is expressed through energy in relation to any and everyone that you encounter, and they feel it.
JOYCE: Oh, that sounds lovely. That sounds lovely. Thank you for that. Thank you.
ELIAS: Although that being said, you do at times have a tendency to turn that on yourself as not doing enough.
JOYCE: Yes! Oh my. And that’s a… That’s a block.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: That is a block for me because I… When my mother-in-law stayed with us for eight years and latterly when she needed more care, I went about feeling a failure the whole time because I could see her need and the gap between what we could provide. And that was not a good feeling.
ELIAS: I understand.
JOYCE: That’s interesting. And actually, talking about turning, my essence animal is a coyote.
ELIAS: Aha!
JOYCE: Which is the Trickster.
ELIAS: Very smart and very creative animals.
JOYCE: I know nothing about coyotes. We don’t have them here. And what made it worse was that I was told coyote, but I heard hyena. (Both laugh)
ELIAS: Very different.
JOYCE: Very different. Can you say a bit more about what the…?
ELIAS: Coyotes are interesting creatures. They can be either in family units or they can be by themselves, individually. They don’t always run in packs. They do a lot, for the most part, because that’s something that makes hunting easier. But it’s not a rule because there are many of them that are lone creatures and that they move about by themselves. They’re very cunning. They’re puzzlers. They see everything as a puzzle and how to move in a direction of figuring out that puzzle to get what they want.
I’d say, in families, they teach their young how to lure other animals, such as dogs – this is why people that live in areas with coyotes are careful about their dogs – because they have very cunning minds, and they will create puzzles such as sending a female in to lure the dogs back to the pack. That’s one method of their hunting skills. (Chuckles) And I’d say that they are very smart creatures.
And the interesting thing about coyotes is that they are very attuned to their environment. Therefore, if let us say there is a particular time framework in which perhaps farmers or hunters are hunting them and are killing them, they will have more pups to replenish their population. Generally speaking, coyotes usually only have two or three pups, but in certain time frameworks when they are being threatened, they can have up to six or eight, and that is because they’re aware of their environment and what’s happening around them. They also are aware enough of their environment that if things are significantly threatening to them they will move their territory, and sometimes they will even move their territory into suburbs of cities. They are very inventive animals and critical thinkers.
JOYCE: Well, that… that softens the image that I had a bit. Because my flower is apparently an oleander, which is poisonous! (Both laugh)
ELIAS: But beautiful.
JOYCE: Yes, Yes, I agree. (Both laugh) I have a—
ELIAS: But that also is something interesting to explore, because the flower is simply protecting the plant.
JOYCE: Ah! Oh, that makes sense.
ELIAS: And you are always protecting you.
JOYCE: Uh-huh. Yes. That’s… That’s… That’s wonderful, actually. (Both laugh) That’s wonderful.
Can I ask you about water? I like water. I drink a lot of water, but I find it difficult to reach three litres if I’m having anything else. I can’t have tea or coffee. I usually drink around two litres, unless it’s hot. If it’s hot, I can get to three litres or even more. I wondered if the climate temperature had anything to do with how much water it’s optimal to drink?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Oh, it is!
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: I thought you were going to say no. Oh, that’s helpful.
ELIAS: Excellent question.
JOYCE: Because I just… I… So yes, one and a half to two litres a day I can easily do throughout the winter, but more is difficult. Thank you.
Now coffee. I’m intrigued. (Elias chuckles) I don’t have it very often myself but my husband drinks it by the gallon. (Elias laughs) You mentioned that there was something about the bean itself that wasn’t good for us. And I wonder is that the acrylamide in it? Or tell me what it is, that’s what to do.
ELIAS: I would say you’re correct.
JOYCE: Right. Okay. So it’s acrylamide that’s in the bean. Is it helpful, then, to filter ground coffee?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Excellent! That’s what we do. I’m so pleased. (Both laugh)
There was another one. You said that sugar accelerates in the body, and I was wondering what the action of fat in the body does?
ELIAS: It does a lot of destructions.
JOYCE: Oh. Oh.
ELIAS: It hinders the function of all of your organs. It blocks some functions. It creates unwanted manifestations. Therefore it’s not good.
JOYCE: Right. Golly. Not even butter?
ELIAS: Butter is actually an exception.
JOYCE: Ah. Well that’s… that’s nice.
ELIAS: Because butter actually helps to digest and break down carbohydrates of fruit and vegetables.
JOYCE: Ah! Right. Well, that’s why you recommend it with spinach.
ELIAS: Yes. Yes. Definitely.
JOYCE: Interesting. Interesting. Good. My mum. My mum is ninety. (Laughs)
ELIAS: Congratulations to her!
JOYCE: I know. She’s a sweetie. I… I’m not in… Well I’m not, I don’t care much about her essence name, but what is her intent? She hasn’t had—
ELIAS: And what do you think?
JOYCE: Oh. Well there’s warmth and caring there because... I don’t think she had much of it. She’s a… She was born in 1935, so she was one of the Second World War generation children who ... who… I can’t believe how her parents treated her, but the great blessing is that she did not pass that on to her children. She has been the opposite. So an intent. What would she be exploring? Some kind of… Um… Well, I don’t know. Not dishing out what she has received.
ELIAS: (Chuckles) (Pause) I would say that her intent has been to be nurturing in all aspects of life.
JOYCE: Ah. Yeah. Well she’s done that, I think. I think she’s done that.
ELIAS: I would agree. It’s natural.
JOYCE: Yes. (Laughs) Yes. I wondered, because that’s really a Borledim thing. Is she Borledim belonging?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Right. So, what would her alignment be? Um… Goodness. No. Nothing.
ELIAS: Her alignment: Tumold.
JOYCE: Oh! Oh, of course. I have surrounded myself with Tumolds, because (Elias laughs) Rob’s alignment is Tumold and Ewan is Tumold belonging, and it’s like I need them. (Both laugh) I need them to calm me down and counteract… Oh, that’s wonderful. (Elias chuckles) That’s wonderful.
Mm. I’m just thinking if there’s anything… What else do I want to ask, while you’re here? Oh yes, yes! My guides. Thank you so much for being one of my guides.
ELIAS: (Laughs) You’re very welcome.
JOYCE: I know nothing about Jolenathra and Marietta. Firstly, how do you spell Jolenathra?
ELIAS: I would say I would advise you to contact Golden, and he can give you all of this information.
JOYCE: Right. Okay. I will do that. And is Marietta with two t’s?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Right. Hm. So can you say something about her, or…?
ELIAS: I would say that essence is very strong and therefore encourages, energetically, you in different situations to attempt to be strong.
JOYCE: Oh, lovely.
ELIAS: But this essence is always encouraging you in that direction.
JOYCE: Mm. That’s lovely. Now, you’re Sumafi and Seth is Sumari. Lawrence, I get green with Lawrence, is he Ilda or is that just what…?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: He is. Right. Well, what’s Marietta?
ELIAS: (Pause) That would be Vold.
JOYCE: I knew it was yellow. (Both laugh) Just before, I thought I bet it’s yellow. That’s the strength, because Ayla is… I want to say Alya all the time. She’s very strong. Mm.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Wonderful. And does Golden know Jolenathra’s family?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Right. I will ask him. Good. What else would I like to…? Yes, we do have time. What have I fragmented from?
ELIAS: One moment. (Pause)
JOYCE: I have no idea.
ELIAS: Three essences. One: Elizabeth. Two: Chorles. (CHORE-uls)
JOYCE: T-A-O-S?
ELIAS: No. C-H-O-R-L-E-S.
JOYCE: Ah, Chorles. Ah.
ELIAS: And three: Torkin (TORK-in), T-O-R-K-I-N.
JOYCE: Hm. Thank you.
ELIAS: You’re very welcome.
JOYCE: Something to think about. Oh, can you give me their families? Belonging.
ELIAS: Elizabeth, Borledim. Chorles, Gramada.
JOYCE: Oh.
ELIAS: Torkin actually doesn’t have focuses in your reality, but has many in other realities.
JOYCE: Right. How interesting! (Laughs)
ELIAS: Therefore it wouldn’t have the same essence families as you do.
JOYCE: Yes. Uh-huh. Wow. That’s wonderful. (Elias chuckles) I’m curious, my Dad died twenty-one years ago. Has he…? What’s he doing now?
ELIAS: One moment. (Pause) (Chuckles) Interesting. Being a pilot.
JOYCE: He’s a pilot! Oh. He’d like that.
ELIAS: And alternates between planes and boats, but pilots both of them.
JOYCE: Oh! That’s good. He… Yeah, he was a great… I mean, he drove lorries, trucks for you. Oh, not you, for Mary, trucks. (Both chuckle)
Ah. Now. I forget where we are... I will ask… Oh! Well okay, do I have a dream walker?
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Ooh! What’s my dream walker? I’m a bit sketchy about what dream walkers are, but how nice! (Elias chuckles) So that would be something to do with the creation of the world.
ELIAS: Yes.
JOYCE: Um. Hm. I don’t know what it would be unless it would be about bodies?
ELIAS: No.
JOYCE: No?
ELIAS: Wind.
JOYCE: Oh! Oh.
ELIAS: Which I would say, symbolically, also is very consistent with you and your movements, your behaviours, and your feelings.
JOYCE: Yes. Wow. (Laughs) Rob refers to me as a force of nature. (Elias laughs) Like if there’s a rock I’ll just blow through it, (both laugh) or round it or whatever. Wonderful.
Oh, this has been marvellous. I… I… I feel inspired. I feel encouraged to be able to make a difference. I will start meditating. I meditated daily for a year once, but I didn’t notice—
ELIAS: Excellent.
JOYCE: I didn’t notice any difference so I stopped. (Laughs)
ELIAS: Ah, but I would say that that was likely you were looking in the wrong direction.
JOYCE: Exactly. Exactly. I was really pissed off with the fact that – it was actually more than a year and I thought, what is this doing in my life? There’s nothing changing and… (Elias laughs) Yes. (Joyce chuckles) So I will be able to, I will be able to start again.
ELIAS: And likely not stomping your feet. (Both laugh)
JOYCE: Yeah. Oh. Okay.
ELIAS: Very well, my friend.
JOYCE: I think it’s… I don’t… I haven’t heard the buzzer...
ELIAS: It is.
JOYCE: Right. Well, in that case—
ELIAS: It’s ringing.
JOYCE: And there’s nothing coming through. Okay. Thank you. Thank you so much. I have enjoyed this.
ELIAS: You are very welcome, my dear friend. And I express tremendous encouragement to you. Don’t forget to do your stretches and exercise.
JOYCE: Yes.
ELIAS: Because the more you are sedentary and not exercising, the stiffer your bones become.
JOYCE: Yes. Thank you. I’ll take that to heart.
ELIAS: You’re very, very welcome. I express tremendous love to you my friend, and exquisite friendship.
JOYCE: Thank you.
ELIAS: Until our next meeting, au revoir.
JOYCE: Au revoir, Elias.
(Elias departs after 1 hour 2 minutes)
