Session 1761

A Surprise Reunion

Topics:

“A Surprise Reunion”

Saturday, April 23, 2005 (Private/Phone)

Participants: Mary (Michael, Margot (Giselle), Howard (Bosht), Ron (Olivia) and Cathy (Shynla)

(Elias’ arrival time is 17 seconds.)

ELIAS: Good afternoon!

MARGOT: Good afternoon, Elias! How are you?

ELIAS: As always, and yourself?

MARGOT: I’ve been talking to you a lot in the ethers. (Elias laughs) So, you know what’s on my mind.

ELIAS: And...?

MARGOT: Well, I think everything is going to be okay, Elias. I guess I have come around to the point that I decided to go with medical beliefs, and everything’s fine. So, I’m probably going to have the mastectomy in the next ten days or two weeks, and that’s about all I have to comment on. It’s been a long fight. You know what a fight I was having to start with with medical beliefs?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: I finally saw the error of my ways of that.

ELIAS: And are you generating more ease in not opposing your beliefs?

MARGOT: Yes, I am. Strange as that may seem. (Elias laughs) I decided not to oppose anything anymore.

ELIAS: AH! I may offer my congratulations.

MARGOT: Thank you, Elias! I’ve someone here that I wanted you to talk to. Just a minute.

RON: Hello, Elias.

ELIAS: Welcome!

RON: I do have a question for you. I’d like to know what Margot was trying to express to herself in the meeting that we had last night. We ran across them unexpectedly, and it was kind of a surprise meeting. (Elias laughs) I am just kind of curious as to... We kind of think that Margot was trying to tell herself something, but we really don’t know exactly what it was.

ELIAS: Explain.

RON: Well, it was just the surprise of the meeting. Something that came up was what are the odds of this happening?

ELIAS: And do you incorporate an impression?

RON: Margot kinda did.

ELIAS: Which was?

RON: She was showing herself that she could beat the odds, in this meeting actually coming about.

ELIAS: Not merely that, but providing herself with an actual presentment of imagery of supportiveness in unexpected manners. The knowing that that support is present regardless of physical proximity or not, but reinforcing that knowing with the actual presentment of physical imagery, and offering herself a validation of her value. (Chuckles) And how are you, my friend?

RON: I’m well — as always.

ELIAS: As always! (Laughs)

CATHY: Hi Elias, this is me.

ELIAS: Welcome my dear, Shynla!

CATHY: I just have one little question too.

ELIAS: Very well.

CATHY: Did our waitress last night have counterpart action with Margot?

ELIAS: Yes.

CATHY: Was it opposite?

ELIAS: Yes.

CATHY: I’m so good! (Laughs with Elias) Okay, I’m done with my question! It’s back in your ballpark, Margot!

MARGOT: Thanks! Elias, it was very, very nice to have these two walk in yesterday. That was just wonderful! I felt that you had just a little bit to do with that because of the way I suddenly decided that I wanted to go to a certain place to eat last night that we hadn’t been to for a long time, and it’s ‘way across town. We went over there and walked in, and there was Ron and Cathy. It was absolutely amazing!

ELIAS: (Humorously) Quite coincidental!

MARGOT: And you had nothing to do with that?

ELIAS: Ha ha! Perhaps a slight nudge.

MARGOT: And so you nudged me to go there because you knew they were going to come through town and be there?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: Oh, Elias! It was absolutely wonderful. We had a wonderful time. It was magical. (Elias chuckles) I thank you for your part in that.

ELIAS: You are quite welcome.

MARGOT: It was a wonderful gift.

ELIAS: I express great lovingness to all of you.

MARGOT: There’s a lot of that going around here today. I’m sitting out on the back porch and my list that I need to talk to you about is in the house, so I am walking in there now. We’re just having a wonderful day in Flagstaff, and I believe Howard’s on the phone here someplace. Howard?

HOWARD: Yup?

MARGOT: Do you need to talk to Elias before I do?

HOWARD: I’m not sure. I’m trying to get my phone connected.

The little blue bead that I found in the tree-well right outside the office yesterday morning, or was it Thursday night, seemed like a gift of blithe and playfulness buried in the mud. Of course, the first person I would think of sending us a little blue bead of fun would have been from you. Am I correct?

ELIAS: Yes, you are.

HOWARD: Well, that was... We’ve got it set aside here.

ELIAS: A reminder that you may find gifts in unusual places.

HOWARD: Like yesterday? Like the whole day?

ELIAS: Yes.

HOWARD: Was that playful to watch?

ELIAS: (Laughs) Yes!

HOWARD: Did the heavens rejoice? (Laughter)

ELIAS: Yes! In echoing your own rejoicing.

MARGOT: I would like to get back to something that Cathy was saying to you, or Ron, about the fact that it was so interesting, the oddity that we could meet up with them like we did last night. What came to me was what were the odds of that happening? It came to me that I was showing myself that we can beat the odds and in my cancer-thing that I can beat the odds.

ELIAS: Correct.

MARGOT: True?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: So nothing is set in stone there.

ELIAS: Correct.

MARGOT: What I couldn’t understand about the whole thing, Elias, was why I would create cancer. I don’t know why. I was just so shocked. I just didn’t believe that in my infinite wisdom, I would do that. I have had a few thoughts about why I did that, and right now I’ve kind of forgotten the reasons that I thought of. Can you help me understand why I would do that?

ELIAS: Let me express to you, my friend, at times individuals, yourself also, create what initially appears to be puzzling situations or manifestations, but the reason that they create these situations at times is to provide themselves with an opportunity to reintroduce themselves to their own magic, which you have already begun.

MARGOT: So, that would be kinda like reintroducing me to my own power?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: That’s really very interesting, because it was certainly a wake-up call of some sort. I’ve had a lot of affirmation now with the beating the odds thing. It’s like Ron and Cathy came in to help me see that.

ELIAS: And also you have already begun in this scenario with your surprise meeting to present to yourself your own magic.

MARGOT: Right, right. It’s lifted this big cloud over my head. It’s all gone now.

ELIAS: And I express my acknowledgment to you. Let me express to you, Giselle, in times previous recently, you have been generating a seriousness. You have been concentrating upon this information and been expressing a seriousness with it and have in some manners also become somewhat complacent in what you do. In this, you have chosen a method to re-experience your own magic and wonder to re-inspire yourself.

MARGOT: I’m sorry, Elias, there’s a plane going overhead and I didn’t hear the last bit of what you said.

ELIAS: You have allowed yourself to rediscover your own magic to re-inspire yourself and to inject more of an appreciation and playfulness into your experience, rather than the seriousness that your were expressing previously.

MARGOT: Yep, I can see that now. I kinda had gotten to the point that I thought I really know everything now that Elias has been talking about. I guess I kinda had a know-it-all attitude.

ELIAS: (Laughs) Which was also generating an element of that complacency.

MARGOT: I have a few identifications that I had the last time we talked, when Howard took up ALL of the time! (Elias laughs) So I have a few things that I want to ask you today. They are identifications I am real interested in. I had a dream two or three months ago and when I woke up, I heard myself say at the end of this dream, “I, Maximilian was too clever for them.” Would I have a focus of Maximilian II?

ELIAS: No, but you do incorporate a focus that incorporates that name.

MARGOT: But it’s not any of the Maximilians that were kings and whatnot?

ELIAS: (Humorously) No, but it is a focus that fancies himself to be quite clever

MARGOT: Oh, well! Isn’t that interesting? Also, I woke for several days with a name on my mind, and it was either Amelia or Melia. She has been trying, for like days on end, to get my attention with that name. It came to me that it might be Amelia Earhart.

ELIAS: No. That is an automatic association, but it is another focus that once again incorporates that name and was attempting to prompt you to investigate her energy and her focus, rather than moving in the automatic association direction.

MARGOT: Could you give me a timeframe when that is, when that takes place?

ELIAS: That focus occupies the time frame work of 2134.

MARGOT: Oh! It’s a future one.

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: Oh, cool! This is really crazy, but I woke myself up one night saying over and over again the name of an oriental dish: Moo-goo-gai-pan. What was that all about?

ELIAS: (Laughs) That would also be associated with another focus that you have tapped into an experience of, in which the individual is attempting to communicate to another individual and demanding that particular cuisine!

MARGOT: So, was I a cook?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: Wow. Can you give me a timeframe for that?

ELIAS: Time framework would be early twentieth century.

MARGOT: Was I male?

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: I felt that energy.

ELIAS: But you are also incorporating considerable challenge in understanding the individual that was demanding! (Laughs)

MARGOT: Libby Twain, wife of Mark Twain, I saw a film and I looked very, very much like her. Is this anyone that I was associated with?

ELIAS: Observing.

HOWARD: Excuse me. A servant, the black lady and her stories that Twain heard, who Twain based the book “Huckleberry Finn” on or used as the imagery about Jim the slave?

ELIAS: And what is the question?

HOWARD: A servant to Libby?

MARGOT: A servant in the Twain home?

ELIAS: Associated with what?

HOWARD: The resulting book, “Huckleberry Finn.”

ELIAS: Yes.

MARGOT: So I was black?

ELIAS: No, that is not a focus. Are you inquiring as to a focus, or are you inquiring as to the inspiration of the book?

MARGOT: I was inquiring about the focus of the wife of Mark Twain.

ELIAS: Correct, which I have responded that you are observing.

MARGOT: Yes. I found so much to do last night with Shynla and Olivia that I really didn’t sit down and make out a list. But it’s been lots of fun to have you here today when they were here, too. It’s been like a get together of very, very old friends.

ELIAS: Ha ha! I agree!

MARGOT: We’ll be back in touch with you soon — if you don’t have anything else to say, Howard?

HOWARD: I do. I just wanted to express some of the things I was going through and am going through regarding the events of yesterday. I was trying desperately to find a means to set up a surprise for Margot for our anniversary, but that failed because she’s more attuned with the events of our happenings and I failed to surprise her. Nevertheless, I shifted my focus to the outcome of yesterday, and I wanted to manifest something that would surprise her in a manner that this growth in her breast would not be as large or dire as it could be. The outcome of the day, for me, was even more of a surprise than even Margot could have imagined or wanted to happen.

This doctor that we had was so cool. He was forthright, honest, with compassion...

MARGOT: We kind of think he’s part of the group. Is that true, Elias?

ELIAS: Part of which group?

MARGOT: Our group with you, the Elias group.

ELIAS: (Laughs) Any individual can be part of THE group!

MARGOT: His family? I’m getting Tumold and Borledim and Ilda.

ELIAS: Tumold and Borledim.

MARGOT: While we’re on the subject, I would like to ask about a friend of mine, the gal who does my hair, who’s been so helpful to me right now. She’s going to shave my head ahead of time and help me buy a wig. Her name is Cindy, and I think she’s also Borledim/Tumold and maybe Sumari.

ELIAS: Tumold aligned Borledim.

MARGOT: Very good. Thank you for thinking of that, Howard.

HOWARD: I was so impressed with him...

MARGOT: The doctor, yeah.

HOWARD: ...and his manner, after what I experienced seven years ago. He just blew me away.

So, the results were not as dire as we expected. The reason for the exploration surgery, which would result in the surgical removal of the breast, seemed logical, which is what we’re dealing with right now, the exploration of the lymph nodes, which is about as far as they can go. Margot’s dread of the chemotherapy and radiation as options to prolong her life has dissipated if not disappeared. Altogether, a relaxing of the burden that we were sharing together, which has gone away.

The miracle of last night, to be joined at the table with Ron and Cathy... (Emotionally)

ELIAS: It is quite amazing what you may manifest in cooperation, is it not?

MARGOT & HOWARD: Yes, truly.

HOWARD: It turns out that what we didn’t know was that it was their anniversary also.

ELIAS: Ha ha ha! A double celebration.

MARGOT: It certainly was.

HOWARD: I’m still reeling from it, as you can tell. As Margot suggested, what are the odds of that. Talk about serendipity. It was really quite remarkable.

ELIAS: And a genuine display of your wonderment.

HOWARD: The only other thing I might have... Ah, shoot. I keep trying to bring myself back to earth.

In the short time that we might have left, Cathy? Do you have anything more to say?

CATHY: You got me, Howard.

ELIAS: (Humorously) OF COURSE NOT! Do not ask Shynla to participate! Shynla detests participation! (Laughs)

CATHY: Actually, I do have something to say, Elias.

ELIAS: Ah! I shall be expressing shock!

CATHY: I should also thank Margot and Howard, (emotionally) because they’ve helped me deal with my fear issue of what other people think of me. Am I correct?

ELIAS: Yes, you are correct.

CATHY: Thanks for that, guys.

HOWARD: You’re welcome.

ELIAS: Therefore, there are more gifts being expressed in this reunion than were initially perceived. A grand display.

CATHY: (Emotionally) I have an issue with not being Vicki. Because you see, she would have called you and she never would have come this close without seeing you. And I’m not Vicki, I’m me. But look what happened anyway!

ELIAS: And what a grand display of appreciation. I am acknowledging of all of you.

CATHY: Okay. I’m done.

HOWARD: Does Ron have anything to say?

RON: No, I never have anything to say.

ELIAS: (Laughs) Ah, the Olivia that we all know and love!

HOWARD: He’s the guy that falls asleep in the back and snores.

ELIAS: I am well aware! Ha ha ha!

HOWARD: I actually have two things to say. One is personal and the other is curious, and they are both about focuses and may actually turn out to be nonsense. My Dee Brown focus admired two baseball players because they played in the sandlots around his place in Arkansas when he was growing up. Actually, I can only say one played there, and the other he admired from afar. The one he admired was Hank Greenberg; the one he admired from afar was Jimmie Foxx. Margot saw the pictures of both of them and said this fellow, Hank Greenburg, has to be you because of his stature, who he was, and also because he played for the Detroit Tigers. I thought I would like to be Jimmie Foxx. So can you settle this argument between us?

ELIAS: I would express that Giselle’s impression is correct.

HOWARD: Oh my. Well, there you go, Margot. (Elias laughs)

MARGOT: I get some things right!

HOWARD: Once again. (Elias laughs) Hank Greenberg, jeez.

So we have the other impression, which is kind of a query of nonsense... No, no, it’s the on-going query between Anjuli and me. She has decided, and I had thought all along, that Gottlieb was the father of Christ, and she said no, he was a brother. Now I’m spinning my head trying to figure out which brother. She has decided that I am the father of Christ.

ELIAS: Observing.

HOWARD: Well, that’s good to know. Now, can I ask this esoteric... Of course I can. I can ask anything I want! (Elias laughs) The idea that Christ was a carpenter, does not really... There’s something about that story wherein Joseph was a carpenter, therefore he, Christ, became one. Would I be correct to say that Christ was an apprentice in a carpenter shop where I was in charge or at least owned? (Pause)

ELIAS: Briefly.

HOWARD: Briefly — thank you so much. That’s sarcasm, by the way. Briefly! Was that just before I was killed, or tortured and then killed?

ELIAS: (Laughs) Prior.

HOWARD: You will not give me anything on this, will you? (Elias laughs) I am sure that Anjuli is satisfied but my curiosity is NOT! I actually have JC-Ronboy here.

ELIAS: I am aware!

HOWARD: He could actually answer this question if he wanted to.

ELIAS: (Laughs) Therefore, why pose the question to myself?

HOWARD: Okay. I’m through. That’s it.

ELIAS: Very well.

HOWARD: Thank you so much for helping us. Thank you so much for your interchange here. April 22 will forever live in our memory, that’s for darn sure. We’re alive and well. Thank you very much.

ELIAS: I express to each of you my encouragement to enjoy your good company and express freely your genuine appreciation for yourselves and each other, and I shall express my energy with you in my presence this day in cooperation with your celebration.

MARGOT: Thank you, Elias.

ELIAS: To all of you in great affection and encouragement and tremendous lovingness, my dear friends, always. Au revoir.

HOWARD & MARGOT: Au revoir.

Elias departs after 35 minutes.

(1) Howard’s note: The day before the session was April 22, our wedding anniversary. We both wanted to get out of the house and treat ourselves to a meal prepared by someone else. Also, Margot’s pending operation was hanging heavily over us, and we wanted some space to think about something else. Or not to think ... but just to have a good time.

There is no real “fancy” reservations-required restaurant in Flagstaff or northern Arizona, for that matter. So the choices we have are very slim. Margot said, “Let’s got to Little America. We haven’t been there in a while.” Little America is a name for a truck-stop/motel off the Interstate Highway I-40 that had pretty good food.

We arrived and were seated by the waitress at a corner table and were looking at our menus when a voice said, “Have you decided what to order yet?” I looked up somewhat perturbed, because we had just sat down, and I saw this smiling man with a towel draped over his arm leaning toward me and a woman standing next to him. I didn’t say anything at first. He looked familiar and while I was choosing the correct words of sarcasm to dismiss him and allow us to return our attention to the menu of limited choices, I finally recognized him ... but I couldn’t remember his name!

In surprised embarrassment I blurted out, loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear, “Jesus, F***ing Christ! What the (bleep!) are you doing here?” The entire restaurant went silent.

Margot looked up and was equally confused. Finally, I put the face to a name and said, “Margot! It’s Ron and Cathy!” And I jumped up and hugged him, which immediately changed the tension in the restaurant from anger to empathy for an old man with a foul mouth seeing a long lost son ... or something. Anyway, the noise in the restaurant returned to normal, and Margot almost started to cry with joy.

It turned out that April 22 was their anniversary also and that they were returning to California after taking a vacation in New Mexico and had stopped in Flagstaff to celebrate before continuing their journey back to Castaic.

(2) Howard’s note: Earlier in the day and prior to meeting Ron and Cathy in the restaurant, Margot had an appointment with the surgeon.
